Tooth Extraction

Focused on preventative dentistry

As a dental practice with a focus on preventative dentistry, unless necessary we will recommend alternative treatments other than tooth extraction to save a natural tooth. However, when extractions are needed, our dentists have experience in extracting teeth which cannot be restored and can carry out complex extractions, including wisdom teeth.

There are many reasons why you may need to have a tooth removed. We will always discuss every treatment option with you.

Wisdom teeth can cause dental problems to many patients. This includes overcrowding and impaction. Wisdom teeth can be become difficult to clean, they may be more vulnerable to tooth decay and gum disease than other teeth and cause decay and infection, leading to pain and difficulty chewing. Removal of the wisdom teeth can become the only option. Depending on the positioning of the wisdom teeth, this may be done non-surgically or surgically.

If you are concerned about your wisdom teeth, we first recommend booking a consultation where we will take an x-ray and an intraoral scan. This will offer much needed information to your dentist, ensuring you are provided with the best advice and guidance.
